The Ocean City Drainage District is dedicated to the safety, environmental health, and resilience of our coastal community in Ocean City, Washington. Our primary mission is to manage and maintain the critical infrastructure necessary to mitigate flooding and ensure proper stormwater runoff.

The Ocean City Drainage District is being established as a Special Purpose District in Grays Harbor County dedicated to solving complex stormwater and flood mitigation challenges. Our mission is to protect community safety and preserve property by transitioning from a volunteer-based approach to a locally-led public entity. By focusing on the Conner Creek watershed and the SR 109 corridor, the District aims to implement and maintain critical infrastructure—such as culverts, drainage ditches, and high-flow overflow points—to ensure effective water conveyance even during the heaviest Pacific Northwest storms. The District is governed by a three-member Board of Commissioners, elected by local landowners and voters, who are tasked with overseeing long-term capital improvements and year-round maintenance to safeguard our coastal environment and essential emergency routes.
